Alexis M. De Mello Sr., 89, of Ahua�loa, Hawaii, formerly of Hilo, a retired supervisor and examiner with the former HT&T Co., and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died at home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by son Alexis M. Jr., daughter Gaylien J. Mendes, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
