78Alfonso "Ponso" Banaag, 81, of Haiku, Maui, a retired maintenance employee, died in Hale Makua, Wailuku. He was born in Catarman Caminguin, Philippines. He is survived by wife Timotea; sons Danny, Jerry, James "Poloy" and Aris; daughter Marie A.; brother Eugenio; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
