75Marilyn "Mary Kaye" Ritz, 51, of Kailua, a religion and ethics writer at The Honolulu Advertiser, will be remembered in services 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Parish, 920 Keolu Drive, Kailua. She was born in Detroit and raised in Denver. She is survived by husband Stephen J. Downes; sons Augustine and Michael Downes; parents Michael and Carolyn; sisters Elizabeth Ritz Carlos, Michele Montgomery, Jacquelyn Ritz Daugherty, Christine Jensen and Darlene Ritz; and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Reception to follow. Donations suggested to International Myeloma Foundation or American Cancer Society.
