81Lionel Takeshi "Pakele" Kawasaki, 75, of Honomu, Hawaii, a retired Waiakea Intermediate School custodian and former Aloha Airlines employee, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by daughters Lorna Groth, Colleen Cabatu, Diana Kawasaki-Yee and Stacy K. Leyson; brother Alvin; sister Joann McCollum; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
