Kumio Kihara, 83, of Hilo, a retired mechanic from the former Hilo Motors automobile dealership and an Army veteran who served during the Korean War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Yoshie, son Bradley, daughter Carol Yamamoto, brothers Morris and Tooru, and sisters Masako Kihara and Shizuko Ikawa. Private services.
