FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

PATRICIA SCOTT WALLER
PATRICIA SCOTT WALLER 1933-2011 After a long struggle with cancer, Pat Waller, with family and friends around went to sleep peacefully 16 November, 2011 and now sleeps until the resurrection. She is a Navy junior who traveled with her parents [the late Cdr. Leroy M. Scott, (SC),USN(Ret) and Florence R. Scott] all over the United States and the Territory of Hawaii. She attended 27 schools through the ninth grade. A lover of literature, a short story writer and poet, she had pieces published in both US and British literary Journals. She met her husband [Capt. Edmund M. "Sonny" Waller, Jr. (SC), USN (Ret)] at Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, from which they both later graduated. He chased her until she caught him. They were married on Dec. 20, 1952, 5 days after he received his diploma from the University of North Carolina, and his Navy commission. A devoted mother and loving wife, Pat accompanied her husband to all points of the US as well as 3 years in Naples, Italy. She lived in the Washington, DC area (Silver Spring, MD/Vienna, VA) for 20 years, prior to spending her remaining 19 years in Charlottesville, VA. She is survived by her husband, her mother of Rockledge, FL, and her five children (Andrea Musher, Pittsburgh, PA; Jo Zukas, Jeffersonton, VA; Kathy Harper, Florence, CO; Scott Waller, Mundelein, IL; and Stewart Waller, Durham, NC) plus eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. I won't speak for anyone else, but I will love her forever and miss her terribly. Lovingly, Ed Waller In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pky, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
