74Marino Almazan, 79, of Hilo, a retired machinist at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kahuku. He is survived by wife Bernydette "Berny" Krout-Almazan; sons Byron and Lawrence; daughters Helen Posey, Davena Almazan and Charlene Edayan; stepson Joseph Krout; stepdaughters Bernydette Adams, Jessica Funai and Bonnie Krout; brothers John and George Manuel; 31 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 9:30 a.m. Lunch to follow. Burial at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
