Julian "Joe" Gionson, 84, of Waipahu, an Army veteran, died in Waipahu. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Patrick, Glen, Darrel and Julian "Alan"; brothers Anyano "Yano" and Constancio "Tans"; 14 grandchildren; a hanai grandchild; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
