78Muriel Leinaala Nuuanu, 76, of Kurtistown, Hawaii, a secretary for the County of Hawaii and Catholic Charities, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Kau. She is survived by sons Michael, Douglas and Edward Atkins; daughters Violet Oda and Martha H. Nuuanu; brother Manny Kaapana; sisters Millie Naeole and Edwina Barrett; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Private services held.
