Archbishop John A.M. Suyat, 101, of Honolulu, founder of the Gospel of Alpha and Omega Church Inc., died in Hawaii Medical Center East. He was born in Villasis, Pangasinan, Philippines. He is survived by sons James, Pastor Peter, Paul, Steven and Evangelist Matthew; daughters Marlene “Tina” Kawano, Lovell “Linda” Maikui, Barbara “Rita” Paleka, Edith “Libby” Kimball, Pastor Ruth “Nani” and Jemima “Maima” Suyat, the Rev. Deborah “Nano” Lew and Leatrice “Naomi” Reimann; hanai sons Ricardo Suyat, Gregory Manintin and Bryan Wong; brother Teofilo; 104 grandchildren; 118 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 2 p.m. at Valley of the Temples. Aloha attire.
