FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Yukio Gotanda
YUKIO GOTANDA Passed away at the age of 88. He was born on the island of Kauai, was Class President of Waimea High School, and later served in the Military Intelligence Service in World War II. He received his B.A. from the University of Hawaii, his M.S.W. from the University of Michigan, and his LL.B. from the University of Wisconsin. He was committed to public service. He was the Director of the Oahu Division of the Honolulu Community Action Program, worked for the Hawaii Legislative Reference Bureau, taught statistics at the University of Hawaii, and spent most of his career at the State of Hawaii Department of Social Services and Housing, where he oversaw the Administrative Appeals Office and was an administrative law judge. He is survived by his wife, Masae; son John, wife Brenda and children William and Kayla; and daughter Misa Zane and son Robert (Robbie). He will be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Services: Saturday, December 17th @ Hosoi Mortuary. Visitation at 3:00p with services @ 4:00p.
