BESS MARIE SCHICK FUNKHOUSER
Age 101, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed away December 17, 2011 in Honolulu. Born January 9, 1910 in Burlington, Iowa. During her years in Wahiawa she was active with the Outdoor Circle, Wahiawa Hospital Auxillary, Orchid Society, Friends of the Wahiawa Library, Tripler Hospital Grey Ladies, Bromeliade Society and was a docent at the Wahiawa Botanical Garden.
She is survived by son, Paul Funkhouser; daughter, Barbara Ireland of NM; grandchildren, Cyndee O'Hara, Wendy Maxwell, Todd Ireland, Annie Funkhouser, Mary Lynn Fitton, David Funkhouser and Sarah Funkhouser; 11 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for this Spring at the Wahiawa Botanical Garden for family and friends.
