Wilfred Masaichi Taira, yago-Uchiuebaru, 91, of Honolulu, a retired Aloha Airlines aircraft mechanic and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, medic, E Company, died at home. He was born in Hakalau, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Tsutoe T.; sons Terry N., Dan T. and Nathan A.; daughters Carolyn S. Shimabuku, Gwen E. Sasaki and Pat A. Taira; brothers Walter T., Richard S. and Harry S.; sisters Susan H. Takara, Jane M. Taira and Blanche S. Kiyabu; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 5 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
