He was born on August 5, 1944, in Honolulu, HI; grew up in Damon Tract and Pearl City; lived in San Mateo and Napa, CA; returned home and lived in Kailua, HI before settling in Kahaluu, where he and his wife, Esther, raised their children, farmed and ranched for more than 44 years.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Esther, son, Bernard (BJ), daughter, Katie, grand-daughter, Azia, father, Raymond “Spike” Cordeiro, Sr., brothers, Raymond “Keia” & Anthony, sisters, Angeline “Cookie” and Theresa Schlemmer, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
