ALBERT EUGENE VARADY

Albert E. Varady left Earth on November 30, 2011. Veteran, teacher, father, friend, traveler, “Gecko” is survived by his son, Albert C. Varady, of Seattle, WA. Born in New York, he spent his career as a teacher in Connecticut, retiring to Hawaii, where he loved the people, weather, and views of the ocean from his condo where he wrote poems, drew cartoons, listened to Stan Kenton and Dvorak, and reflected on his life and the world around him. In the empty mountains
The leaves of bamboo grass
Rustle in the wind.
I think of a girl
Who is not here.
