77, of Honolulu, an army veteran, and a retired general contractor and owner of A-1 Hydro Mechanics Corporation, International Masons, Paddock Pools Hawaii, and other subsidiary companies, died at Hawaii Medical Center East. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Henrietta B. I. (Au) Yamamoto; sister, Barbara Yamamoto; sons, Jason Yamamoto and Jeffrey Yamamoto; and daughters, Tracy Yamamoto and Sandra Yamamoto.
He is a graduate of the McKinley High School class of 1952. He loved deep-sea fishing and was a member of the Leeward Trollers Fishing Club. He also received his heart transplant 21 years ago from St. Francis Medical Center.
A celebration of his life will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Saturday (January 21). Visitation at 9:00 a.m. and Services at 10:00 a.m. Private scattering of ashes. Casual attire. No flowers.
