EDWARD “BOBBY” KAM
EDWARD "BOBBY" KAM February 11, 1923 - January 16, 2012 88, of Aina Haina passed away on January 16, 2012 at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu, HI to Fat KAM and Laurita Naeole Kam. Edward attended Princess Ka'iulani Elementary School and graduated from St. Louis High School in 1941. Edward retired after 25 years from Honolulu Fire Department as Fire Captain at Kalihi Kai Station, Ladder 31. He was also a Fireman, First Class Merchant Marine- Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Pearl Harbor Survivor, WWII. He is survived by his long time loving wife of 61 years, Virginia Soy Kwan (Chong) Kam. He is also survived by son Robert J. Kam (Charlene), daughters Edean V. Kam (Richard) and Lisa S. K. Haina (John). His oldest son Wayne Edward Kam predeceased. His greatest pride and joys were grandchildren - Mahina Haina, Keoni Haina, Daniel Kam, Brian Kam and Tommy Kam. He is also survived by his brother Albert Kam of Carlsbad, CA. Services will be held at Star of the Sea Church, Monday, January 30, 2012. Visitation: 9:00 a.m. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Lunch: 12:00 noon at Star of the Sea. Burial at 2:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
