HELEN H.P. LEE AHN
Helen H.P. Lee Ahn passed away on October 27, 2011. She was born in Wahiawa, Oahu, on August 12, 1924, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942. She served in the Women's Air Raid Defense during World War II, thereafter assisted her husband in business, raised her children and grandchildren, and served for many years as a member of the University of Hawaii Foundation. She also was cited for her fund-raising accomplishments on behalf of the Center for Korean Studies at the University of Hawaii. She is survived by her husband, Chung Dho; daughters Karen Ahn, Jennifer Minami, Marcella Sugihara, Lucy Ahn, and Margaret Ahn; as well as ten beloved grand-children and two great-grand-daughters. Private services have been held.
