Florence Leilani Smith, 86, passed away Feb 2, 2012 at Whittier Place Assisted Living. Previously a resident of Fullerton for 47 years, Leilani was born Nov. 27, 1925 to Joseph Honolulu Akina, Sr. and Agnes Kahinu Keaunui in Honolulu, Hawaii. On Oct. 18, 1947 she married Ernest Rinzo Smith, who preceded her in death on Jul. 7, 1992. Survived by four children - Robert, Roger, Marilyn and Sandra Ann, four grandchildren - Ryan, AJ, Heather and Sean, and two great-grandchildren Jayden and Kalani. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 9 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Fullerton. Private internment will take place at Loma Vista Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Leilani's memory to a charity of your choice. McAulay & Wallace Mortuary
