Tadao Tanoue, 89, of Hilo, a retired independent sugar cane planter and flower grower, and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Yuriko, son Wesley, daughter Alison Geanon, sister Elsie Nariyoshi and two grandchildren. Private services.
