James John Waters, 84, of Honolulu, a retired Air Force chief master sergeant, and a civil service and HMSA employee, died in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in South Hampton, N.Y. He is survived by wife Janet, son James J., daughters Julia Medeiros and Jessica Sphar, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass: 7 p.m. Burial: 10:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire.
