FREDERICK K. E. YUEN

88, of Kaneohe, passed peacefully on January 14, 2012. He retired as the owner of Honolulu Bag Supply. He was known for his light-hearted spirit and his jokes, many often kolohe. In his better years he would volunteer to sing a song or two, having sung along in lounges in Waikiki. He prided himself in his military experience, having served in the Philippines in World War II and later as a lieutenant colonel in the Hawaii State Guard. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, his son, Greg, and his sister, Eugenia Young. Private services were held.
