Surrounded by the love of family and friends since February 18, 1949, peacefully passed on February 15. Survived by husband Owen, daughter Shanna, son Michael, and brother Gary Piatelli.

Gifted hairstylist of Salon Vega. Avid tennis player and member of the Kailua Racquet Club. American Cancer Society volunteer.

She gracefully survived breast cancer in 1983.

Family and friends are invited to a life celebration to be held on Sunday, March 11, 5-8pm at the Kailua Racquet Club. Casual Attire.

She lived her life with abundance in every way and was “the rarest of kind.”

86, of Honolulu, Hawaii died February 18th, 2012. She was born in Polson Montana, a graduate of Montana University, and a member of the Theta Rho at Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority. She was a wife and mother for over 50 years. After raising her family, she proudly went back to school and earned her Master’s Degree in Art History from the University of Hawaii. Upon obtaining her degree, she worked as an Art History Professor at Kapiolani Community College for over 10 years. She was a great teacher, talented painter, and staunch supporter of both equal and woman’s rights. Survived by son, Lance, sister, June-Ann, grandchildren Leila and Justin. Private services held.
