Eve Carney, 87, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a homemaker and a World War II Army veteran, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Carl Jr., Wayne, Richard, Alan, Robin, Rory and Lance; daughter Sharon; brothers Thomas and Paul Miranda; sister Lorraine Ferguson; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pahoa. Visitation to follow. Burial: noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
