He is survived by wife Sakiyo; stepsons Robert Jr., Stephen and James Barber; stepdaughters ChristineMcFall, Cheryl Griep, Jean Baptiste and Barbara Devinney; brothers Shiro and Masayuki; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
