James H. Taylor III, 85, of Honolulu, a retired Air Force colonel who served in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars, and recipient of the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster and Bronze Star, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Blakely, Ga. He is survived by wife Evelyn; sons Bruce and Brent Taylor, and Emory Damron; brother Thomas; sister Ann Cummings; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
