JANE KIKUE ARAKAWA

96, was born on February 12, 1915, on Kauai. She died on February 5, experiencing loving care from Isabel Infante, her caregiver. She is survived by daughters, Aileen Arakawa and Renee (Albert) Hamai; granddaughters, Crystal (Derek) Harauchi and Pamela Hamai; sisters, Bessie Toki and Natsuko Tokeshi of Okinawa; brother, Seizen Kaneshiro, also of Okinawa, and many relatives.

After selling their lunch wagon, Jane worked as a cafeteria helper to save for her Las Vegas vacations. Her heart was always with her family and extended ohana, so helpful and supportive. Her advice: “It’s hard to grow old. So don’t get old.” Private services.
