Born on April 9, 1918 and raised in Lihue, Kauai. Florence was the second child of 11 siblings. She loved fishing, cooking for her family and was a devout Christian serving as a member of Manoa Valley Church over 60 years.

She is survived by 3 sisters, 2 daughters, 3 grandsons, and 3 great grandchildren.
