Vernon Tokiharu Soga, 89, of Kahana, a Honolulu Fire Department mechanic and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died at home. He was born in Kawailoa. He is survived by wife Beatrice T., daughters Verna and Blanche, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hauula Makai Chapel. Services: 10:30 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
