CHARLES H. TURNER
88, of Honolulu, HI passed away on March 30, 2012.
Born in Paris Crossing, Indiana on November 15, 1923.
He is a retired journalist of 30 years with The Honolulu Advertiser, an Army Veteran, a Purple Heart Recipient, and served as the President of the residents during his 2- 1/2 year residency at Maunalani Nursing Rehab.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Turner, Jr., sister-in-law, Gloria Turner, nieces, Venny Jean Turner, Helen Carlson, Raelene Herszig, Anneth Bushon, nephews, Fred L. Turner, Ron Turner, and Fred J. Turner.
Services will be held at Central Union Atherton Chapel on Thursday, April 19, 2012. Visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 AM; Services at 11:00 AM; Burial at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery at Kaneohe at 2:00 pm. Memorial service after the burial will be held at Maunalani Nursing Rehab on April 20, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
