74Paul Lurbin Caplener Jr., 48, of Hilo, a coach for the Wanderers and Orioles baseball teams and Hilo High School girls softball team, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Corianne, sons Paul L. III and Micah, daughter Chelsea, mother Patricia and sisters Sharon Caplener and Paulette McNerney. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire.
