Jean Jolenta U‘ilani Charbonnet, also known as “U‘i” and “Boots,” 66, of Waimanalo, a Keolu Elementary School crossing guard and Enchanted Lake Elementary School kupuna program employee, and former employee at Hawaii Tug and Barge and Hawaii State Archives, died in Waimanalo. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Jesse A. “Aulani” and James S. “Alaka‘i,” brothers Jacinto “Pancho” Santiago Jr. and Auggie Fiesta, sisters Sheba Lau and Cookie Kawamoto, and four grandchildren.
