May 3, 2012 Michael H. "Tutuman" Cochran, 72, of Hilo, a Federal Emergency Management Agency-Homeland Security disaster assistant, retired Hawaii County mass transit administrator and former Marine Corps bandsman, died in Hilo. He was born in Oakland, Calif. He is survived by wife Colleen K., sons David and Pono, daughters Kim Mercado and Michelle Tavares, hanai son Ka‘uhane Castro and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Sunday at Hilo Yacht Club. Sharing of memories: 1 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
