Prominent Honolulu attorney passed away at the age of 97 on March 8, 2012. Hal graduated from University of Nebraska Law School and was assigned to Wheeler Field when the islands were attacked on December 7, 1941. He was introduced to Edna Young, a volunteer nurse from Queen’s Hospital, that was visiting the base with other nurses for an afternoon dance. They were married for 62 years when she passed away in 2008 at the age of 95.
Mr. Conroy joined Kelly Henshaw in 1946 in private practice of law in Honolulu. This association grew into the firm of Henshaw, Conroy, Hamilton, Gibson, Nicholson, Rush & Moore. Harold retired in 1976. He was president of the Oahu Country Club in 1972.
Harold is survived by his daughter Win Ann, her husband Charles Stark, his three grandchildren Kimberly, Todd and Paige and his five great grandchildren Chaise, Maxwell, Elyse, Charles, and Matthew. He frequently was heard saying that he lived in paradise, and that his life was a romance.
The public is invited to a mass to be held 11:00 a.m. on May 18, 2012 at Star of the Sea Church. He will be inurned with his wife Edna at Punch Bowl National Cemetery at private services. ROBERT “BOB” BLAIR GRAHAM

Age 82, of Niu Valley-Kuliouou, passed away May 8, 2012. Born May 9, 1929 in Hot Lake, Oregon to Rev. Thomas Phillip Graham and Lynnie Ethel Passmore, Bob was raised in Boise, Idaho. He served in the military. He was a resident of Honolulu for 45 years and retired as Director of Data Systems for The City and County of Honolulu, working under Mayors Fasi and Harris.
He also served as the Cub Scout Pack 115 Cubmaster, the Aina Haina PTA President and Niu Valley Community Association President. Bob was active during his retirement years serving as a volunteer for AARP, Hanauma Bay, and the Bishop Museum. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Saint Andrews Society of Hawaii. Bob was an avid and active walker, surfer, traveler, RV owner, fisherman, snorkeler and bagpipe lover. To satisfy these passions he traveled to all 50 states (with a special love for Alaska), every province in Canada (except one) and circumnavigated Australia and New Zealand.

He was preceded in death by Carol Hisako Honda (former wife). He is survived by wife Elizabeth Lloyd Noroian; sons John W. (Kathy), Thomas L.
(Claudia), Roderick W. (Tetuanui); 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers LTG “Ret.” Charles P. (Alice) of Austin, Texas and Franklin R. of Boise, Idaho; brother in-law’s Ronald Y. Honda (Phyllis), and Gerald Honda (Janice); as well as 5 nephews and 4 nieces and numerous friends.

Captain Michael Michaeledes passed away on May 9, 2012.

He is survived by his wife Joan Michaeledes; children Christopher Michaeledes of California, David (Dottie Bergan) Michaeledes of Hawaii and Malia (Brett) Round of Colorado; grandchildren Jennifer (Michaeledes) Fuller, Christina Michaeledes, Avery Round, Caroline Round and Shay Round; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Michaeledes and parents George and Despina Michaeledes.

Captain “Mike” was well known on the Honolulu waterfront, having sailed with Matson Navigation Company for 14 years and then as a port pilot in Honolulu and the neighbor islands for 29 years. After retirement, he moved to Port Ludlow, Washington and in 2009 relocated to Centennial Colorado.
