Kyong Wo Joseph Chew
May 13, 2012 Kyong Wo Joseph "Tutuman" Chew, 84, of Panaewa, Hawaii, a Navy veteran, a retired Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard power plant controller and a private security firm Hilo manager, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Lorraine; son Langford; daughters Waonette and Marva Lynn Chew, Jowett Chew-Marumoto, Rayveen Waters and Violyna Chew-Fernandez; hanai sons Walter Hall and Rodney Clarose; hanai daughters Sheila Ledesma Streltzer and Suzie Alviso; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services: 1 to 3 p.m. today at Haili Tent, Panaewa. Urn committal services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
