Marcelo Q. “Celo” Jacinto, 78, of Hilo, a Mauna Kea Sugar Plantation employee, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by wife Mercedes D.; sons Reynaldo, Roger and Ramelton; daughters Cherelyn Mamaclay, Jeogy Pagtama, Marlene Vintero, Margie Anderson and Mamelyn Mones; brothers Modesto and Isaias; sister Proserfina Bueno; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary. Celebration of life: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire.
