73Alexander Junichi Watanabe, 88, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a retired Hamakua Sugar Co. cultivation supervisor, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Honuapo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Shinayo O.; son Calvin; daughters Mary Ann Spaulding and Judi Hayenga; sisters Tamae Iwamoto, Fujie Fujimoto and Harumi DeMello; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Thursday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Celebration of life: 5 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
