FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

ROCHELLE “ROCKY” PITLUCK
ROCHELLE "ROCKY" PITLUCK Rochelle "Rocky" Pitluck, of Honolulu, Hawai`i, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2012, with her family at her side. Born August 30, 1910, Rocky had just celebrated her 72nd Mothers Day, and was three months shy of her 102nd birthday. Rocky was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was a ballerina with a Chicago ballet company for several years. Over the years, she lived in the states of Tennessee, Washington, New Jersey and California, until she moved to Honolulu in 1992 to be with her son and his family. She had been under the loving care of the staff of Hale Ho Aloha Nursing Home for the past 15 years. Rocky was preceded in death by her former husband, Dr. Harry Pitluck of Spokane, Washington. Rocky is survived by her sister, Dorothy Besserman of Aventura, Florida; her son, Wayne Pitluck and his wife, Judy Pyle, of Honolulu, Hawai`i; Grandson, Aaron Pitluck and his wife, Corrin, of Budapest, Hungary; Granddaughter, Raleigh Ferro and her husband, Greg, of Reno, Nevada; Great-Grandson, Solomon Musa Pitluck, of Budapest, Hungary; Great-Granddaughter, Danica Punahele Ferro, of Reno, Nevada; former daughter-in-law, Deanne Pitluck, of Honolulu, Hawai`i; and her son's sister-in-law, Mary Ann Belke, of Honolulu, Hawai`i. Rocky lived a full and fulfilled life. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always uplifted the spirits of anyone around her, and she truly enjoyed the company of old and new friends. She had an easy smile and laugh, and an extraordinary sense of humor. We still laugh out loud recalling her story-telling. Anyone who met her was touched by her in some meaningful way. We shall all miss her very much. Private family services will be held.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
