ROSALINDA “ROSIE” “LIN” NICOLAS SANDERS

65, was born November 29, 1946, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She passed away May 15, 2012 in Colorado Springs, CO due to complications of stomach cancer.

Rosalinda was preceded in death by her husband, Teryl Sanders in 1996. She is survived by her three children, Roxanne (Greg) Louie of San Diego, Rosanna (Troy) Costales of Honolulu and Jose (Sonny Boy) Pagaduan, Jr. of Colorado Springs. Brothers, Daniel “Junior” Alcaraz, Benjamin “Ben” (Clemie) Alcaraz, Roland (Thelma) Nono, Rudolpho (Daling) Nono and Rolando (Hue) Nono. Sisters, Gloria “Neng” (Robert) Ito and Virginia Dilay. She leaves behind eight grand-children, Tanya & Bryson Costales, Jayme, Peter and Jonathan Pagaduan, Ashley & Benjamin Louie and Lily Pagaduan; two great-grand-children, Kaimana Kahookano and Jairus Pagaduan. Rosalinda will be long remembered by the many friends she met and worked with during her life in Hawaii, San Diego and at the California Casualty Insurance before retiring from Extended Stay America Hotel Chain in Colorado Springs. It is here where she met her life partner Rodney Schumann.

88, loving wife and devoted mother, was born on May 1, 1923. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York and married her husband Carl in 1946. Chiyo worked as the chief technician of the radioisotopes lab at Tripler Army Hospital and was a docent at the Honolulu Academy of Art. She is survived by son Tetsuo, daughter-in-law Barbara, grand-daughter Jill, and two sisters Teruko and Nanako. A grave-side remembrance will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park on June 12 at 11 am.
