Joseph Kanekapu Ako, also known as "Trix" and "Kiki Boy," 60, of Waianae, a Mini Roofing Supplies supervisor, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Dorene K.L.; sons Manuel III, Maxwelle and Malcolm Vigil-Ako, and Danson Flores-Ako; daughter Jasmine Kealoha; hanai sons Keke, Victor and Kiko Kawaa, Herman, Haena and Kaipo Kalani, Max M. and Braunston Ako, Bernard, Elai, James and Kalani Horn, John Amina, Manu Kealoha, Kekoa and Shane Batalona, Joseph Mainaaupo, Asa Maafala and William Joshua; hanai daughters Jubilee, Miulang and Kuuipo Amina, Kauilani and Kuulei Kalani, Ashley Mainaaupo, Abalette, Avon, Brantelle and Devin Ako, Keala Kalauli, Bernice Joshua, Keola Roper, Arcenette Batalona and Jubilee Horn; brothers Matthew M. Jr. and Matthew D.; sisters Maeline Kawaa and Georgette Ako; hanai brothers Warren K. Horn, Heine Shim, John K. III and Hiram Amina, Darren Dana, Marcelo, Sheldon, Bobby and Junior Alvarado, Anthony Lum and Jason Ishii; hanai sisters Rosie Taitaiau, Alice M.H., Michelle K. and Stephanie K. Amina, Lorraine M.H. Ishii and Rina Kawaa; and 20 grandchildren. Services: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday at Nanaikapono Protestant Church on Pua Avenue in Nanakuli. Scattering of ashes to follow in Maili across from 7-Eleven.
