Beloved Wife of Norman Shea
Born February 16, 1938 to Edward L. and Lois May Poole in Juneau, Alaska. She was the second of two daughters’. She grew up in Juneau, Alaska and graduated in 1956, from Juneau/Douglas High School and attended two years accounting school. In 1964 she moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where she worked for five years at “Brown & Roots” a subsidiary of Haliburtin, where she did the payroll for the “Pipeline” workers. Next, she worked for the Anchorage Housing Authority, before moving to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1974, with two children, her husband & no job. She quickly found a job and worked at “Railings” in Halawa, until 1977, when she joined (HFS) Honolulu Freight Service and a short time later Magnum Transportation. She left and went to work for Tom Beidleman managing PML-GFF (Guam Freight & Air/ACS Ship Agency), after the passing of her husband, William A. Fleming in 1986, at the young age of 54 years old. Through this tragedy she endured. Later her widower lady friends introduced her to ballroom dancing, she loved it!
In 1990, she married, Norman Shea, they retired in 1994. They moved to Vegas in 1994 and returned to Hawaii in 2001. In 2004 Beverly and Norman started taking yearly cruises to Alaska until 2011. She was also an avid cross stitcher, she has completed more than fifty pieces of cross stitchery. In 2010 she was stricken with throat cancer. She took “Laser” treatment and was given a year and a half to live. She had a zest for life. She will be missed by all who’s life she has touched! She was a lady of humility, grace and elegance!
Survived by Husband Norman Shea. Sister Yvonne Reeves. Son Robert B. Fleming. Daughter Teresa May Langston (William Langston). Seven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.
Visitation to be held from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday July 7, 2012 at Moanalua Mortuary. Services will begin at 11:00. Burial 12:45 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park.

Age 71, of Kaneohe, passed away on June 11, 2012. Born July 11, 1940, he was a member of Carpenters Union, Local 745; a U.S. Army veteran served in Vietnam and Okinawa. A 1958 Farrington High School Alumnae, he is survived by his wife, Karen Suetomi.

JACQUELINE JEAN WAI KIN CHANG
Jacqueline Jean Wai Kin Chang, a beloved sister and aunt passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family on March 27, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born August 7, 1938 in Hawaii, Jackie was the eldest of three children of Jack and Jane Chang.
Jackie received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Hawaii where she was active in foreign student affairs, the National Student Association, the Senior Women’s Honor Society, and contributed to the campus newspaper. In 1964, she earned a Master of Public Health degree from UC Berkeley. Following her MPH she practiced as a dental hygienist for the State of Hawaii Department of Health; as a Public Health Advisor(1964-74) for the Division of Dentistry, U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare in San Francisco ; and then as a Program Analyst for the Administration on Aging. In 1975, she was one of 13 women in a class of 138 students at University of Pacific School of Dentistry. Three years later, she earned her DDS degree. Jackie entered private practice following graduation in 1978 and was later joined by her brother Wesley in 1984.
Jackie was a good friend to many, full of life and boundless energy. She is survived by her two brothers, Glenn (Valerie) and Wesley, nieces Amanda and Laura, and nephews Patrick and Jonathan.
Funeral services will also be held in Honolulu, Friday, July 6 2012 at Diamond Head Mortuary and Memorial Park. Viewing is 9:45-11:45 with burial at 12:30pm. Aloha attire.

John Russell Mueh, 64, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on June 9, 2012. An oncologist, retired, and former chief of hematology/oncology at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, He was born in Berkeley, CA on November 20, 1947. He received his B.S in Chemistry (with Honors) and Doctor of Medicine (President’s Scholar) from the University of California at San Diego. He completed his internship and residency at Children’s Hospital of San Francisco and his postdoctoral fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University Hospital in San Diego. He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Medical Oncology. He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Oncology.
Among John’s memorable activities was a year spent as the disc jockey for the Sunday afternoon jazz show on KPFA in Berkeley and playing clarinet (second chair) with the San Francisco Symphony. These led him to graduate with a minor in music at UCSD. As a life-long-learner, John found much joy during retirement attending classes at the University of Hawaii, language courses in France, and encouraging his grandsons to enjoy learning.
He is survived by wife, Audrey Liu Mueh, step-daughter, Nicole Adam Jones, grandsons, Dawson and Wyatt Jones, brother, David (Diane) Mueh of Reno, NV and Palm Desert, CA, sister, Linda (Roger) Brown of Seattle, WA, hanai sister, Susan Mueh of Venice, FL, nephew Donald (Rachel) Mueh of Alexandria, VA, nieces Erin Brown of Seattle, WA and Emily Brown of Portland, OR, and grandnieces, Sarah and Ashley Mueh.

Sadie Kaanohikula Kam Sin Young or better known as Ah Po, Popo or Aunty Sadie at the age of 93, passed away peacefully at home on June 8th, 2012. She was born July 24, 1918 in Waipio Valley, Hawaii.
She had five children with her late husband Edward Makualoi Young preceded in death by her son Milton (Edean), Amelia Pua Maruyama (Doka), Gordon Moku (Sandy), Newton Kelii (Penny) and Donna Puaala Willing (Peter), 20 Grandchildren, 46 Great-grandchildren, 11 Great-great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, July 5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Kahala Chapel, 4847 Kilauea Avenue, Honolulu, 96816.
