Shoichi "Richard" Takata, 84, of Mililani, a retired general warehouse foreman for the federal government and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by sons Gregory, Lance and Paul; daughter Michelle Koyanagi; brother George; and six grandchildren. Visitation: 1 p.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary.
