Melvin Nobuichi Makii, 87, of Waipahu, a city mass transit lines bus driver and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Kuiaha, Maui. He is survived by wife Mildred M.; son Michael M.; daughters Sharon E. Nishi, Phyllis M. Adriano and Gwen C. Omori; brother "Mike" Satoru; sister Alice Masuda; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers.
