74Clarence "Chic" Carvalho, 79, of Hilo, a heavy equipment operator, truck driver, tour driver and taxi driver, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Paauilo, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Rosamellia, daughter Clarice L. Kunius, hanai daughter Benita Salazar, brother Richard, sisters Ethel Jose and Clara Cruz, a grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Christian Fellowship Church, Hilo. Services at noon. Casual attire. No flowers.
