Federico "Fred" Vento Jr., 65, of Keaau, Hawaii, a Hawaii Electric Light Co. foreman and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in La Feria, Texas. He is survived by wife Yvonne M.; son Federico L. III; daughter Yvette M.; brother Edward Sison; sisters Yvonne Paiva, Angie Pavao, Emma Omelau and Bernice Ha‘a; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Mass: 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
