Arthur Haruichi Takata, 77, of Ewa Beach, a retired Hawaii state painter and a Coast Guard veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Ethel; daughters Faye Diaz-Ordaz, Gail Takata, Wendy Yezzi and LaVerne Jones; brothers Paul Matsumoto, and Stanley and Lawrence Takata; sister Harriet Woods; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
