Charles A. "Pete" Peterson Jr., 91, of Kapaa, Kauai, a Douglas Aircraft hydraulic engineer, operator of Santa Catalina Mooring Service and an Army veteran who served in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star and Philippine Defense Medal, died at home. He was born in Stanley, N.C. He is survived by son Bill, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Celebration of life: 9 a.m. Aug. 18 at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe. Donations suggested to Kauai Hospice in memory of Charles A. Peterson.
