The Rev. Don M.R. Aanavi, 72, of Ninole, Hawaii, a retired University of Hawaii-Hilo art professor and campus minister, and Roman Catholic Church deacon, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in New York City. He is survived by son Michael. Visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass: 10 a.m. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice of Hilo.
