77Bernard A. "Sunshine" Soares, 71, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired painter contractor and owner of SS Painting Co., and a commercial fisherman and professional boxer, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Rita J., sons Derek and Darren, daughter Lisa L., brother David A., sister Johnette Fabra, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Glad Tidings Church, 113 Kuawa St., Hilo, behind Ken's Pancake House. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire.
