FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Restituto "Dingo" Ramos Paguirigan
RESTITUTO "DINGO" RAMOS PAGUIRIGAN Of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines died peacefully at his home in Kalihi on July 29, having lived fully to the age of 89. He was among the laborers brought on the S.S. Maunawili in 1946 to work in Hawaii's sugar cane fields. To better his life and that of his future family, he secured a job as a stevedore for Castle & Cooke, where, with the support of the ILWU, he dutifully worked for 36 years until his retirement in July 1985. His relentless labor and unselfish dedication to family were matched by that of his wife, Linda Paguirigan, and together they enabled the college educations and achievements of each of their five children, Cristeta, Marilyn, Rosemarie, Restituto Jr., and Joseph. He treasured his 5 grandchildren, Justin (18), Joshua (14), Jasmine (10), Leilani (5), and Nicholas (6 months) and was looking forward to the October, 2012 birth of his 6th grandchild, Cruz. Memorial services will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe on August 23rd with visitation at 5:30pm and on August 24th at 9:00am with burial services to folllow.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
